STILL LIFE of a STILL LIFE...

This is probably the very first Still life of a still life painting ever taken*.
Art historians will talk about something else for generations to come.
Nevertheless this audacious artistic act is very improtant in these days of doom and gloom, because it helps distracting from the constant thoughts  about the pandemic and the free-roaming words of so many unqualified politicians.
Well in Fufi we trust.

Well, in very weird historical times like these, where Presidents, politicians and self-proclaimed experts make very surreal and baseless claims about any issue, it's about time I start creating my very own copyrighted fake news:

"CHILI PEPPERS PREVENT CONTAGION!

My latest study clearly shows a 100% decrease of the Covid-19 among those who regularly consume large quantities of Red-Hot Chili Peppers, be that through assuming the vegetable itself or by listening to the famous rock band's merry grooves or both. Let's not forget also that in Southern Italy a red 'peperoncino' is a certified lucky charm..."

My NEW BOOK: SUPER CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE! 超級變變變!

I've just received my new book "SUPER CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE! 超級變變變!" from my publisher Grimm Press, Taiwan. 

Texts by 王宇珊 Wang Yushan.

It's a surprise book for tiny, portable kids, where they can associate fruit, numbers and brightly coloured animals; it's a funny way to learn about numbers and counting.

It's all vectorial illustration, a technique that in the way I use it, involves plenty of geometry and numbers, something that I love and helps keeping the mind sharp.

PINOCCHIO in BRASIL!

My Pinocchio, created for the book 'Il vignaiolo universale' by Pierluigi Gorgoni and Andrea Grignaffini, is now decorating as a large print, the wall of Romano Wine Bar e Restaurante in Atibaia, Brasil.
It's always surprising to find out how one work, when it gets created, can have a life beyond what it was made for at first.
The restaurant's owner contacted me after reading the book and finding my works and name on it.

Thanks to Alessandra De Nitto of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte for inviting me to participate to such a beautiful book project.

The original painting is on display at Spazio Arte Tolomeo, Milano @la_cornice_di_tolomeo.

ALBER's GARDEN - WIP

Josef Albers (1888-1976) left a wide range of experimental work which is worth our attention.
Among his drawings there's a beautiful b/w lynocut on the interaction of line and space, called 'Runde' (Circle).
Well, I've tried to figure out how such a gentle abstract concept might be transformed into a tridimensional landscape.
Here's a detail of such work in progress with a semi-cubist Fufi waiting for a good reason to act.

MY BALL, MY GAME 2 - INTER F.C.

My ball, my game – La mia palla, il mio gioco - 我的球，我的遊戲 (2)

This is another painting from a series I have recently created about the 'beautiful game' of Football, where players are actually team-colour-feathered birds.
I wanted to convey the amusing aspects of this ball game; a ball and a group of friends having fun is the essence.
Each bird represents a different team of the long list of international clubs.
This is an acrylic and oil painting representing a "Rigogulus Interensis" (Inter Milan black and blue Oriole).
It's a Winter evening game and I guess we are waiting for the other players to show up after dinner.
