STILL LIFE of a STILL LIFE...

This is probably the very first Still life of a still life painting ever taken*.
Art historians will talk about something else for generations to come.
Nevertheless this audacious artistic act is very improtant in these days of doom and gloom, because it helps distracting from the constant thoughts  about the pandemic and the free-roaming words of so many unqualified politicians.
Well in Fufi we trust.
And in Albers, too...

ALBER's GARDEN - WIP

Josef Albers (1888-1976) left a wide range of experimental work which is worth our attention.
Among his drawings there's a beautiful b/w lynocut on the interaction of line and space, called 'Runde' (Circle).
Well, I've tried to figure out how such a gentle abstract concept might be transformed into a tridimensional landscape.
Here's a detail of such work in progress with a semi-cubist Fufi waiting for a good reason to act.
