MY BALL, MY GAME 8 - The away match

I have recently created a series of paintings related to the 'beautiful game' of Football, where players are actually team-colour-feathered birds.
I wanted to convey the amusing aspects of this ball game; a ball and a group of friends having fun is the essence.
Of course you need some colours that may inspire some mild sense of belonging and: GOAL!
This is an oval, acrylic and oil painting representing a "Rigogolus Milanensis" (Red and Black striped Oriole).
It's an far away match and the whole family is reaching the venue. Hopes are very high of course...

A documentary on the Taiwanese Hakka minority and their culture; one week around the South Eastern plains of Taiwan, a wonderful experience with beautiful people in beautiful places. Thanks John, Tim, Sharon, 琇雯, Sophie and the rest of the crew and everyone I had the opportunity to meet.
This documentary was shot in September 2015 and it's the first on a series with other artists from Europe and elsewhere.

"My land - 我的土地", the painting made and inspired by my experience with the Hakka culture.
