MILANO in BÌLICO - MILAN on the WOBBLE 2020

This is a snippet of an animation I made ten years ago and that perfectly fits the moment we are all living now.
It was projected during a series of exhibitions I made with artwork dealing with the history of Milan and the crisis it had to endure; all these events were all eventually overcome, thanks to the action of a series of forgotten characters who loved the city. It happened before, it will happen again.
The complete animation is HERE

I made it with the help of Antonio Cova who edited and directed it and Antonello Brogna who created most of the soundtrack.
Happy antivirus week!

MESSER LEONARDO and MONNA LISA's KISS

Happy day everyone!
St.Valentine's Day is imminent and this little animation inspired by little known artist De Crico's work, celebrates it through the innocence of a kiss.
The 8 frames of this animation are part of the mail-art project
Leonardo and Monna Lisa
whose deadline is on February 28, 2020.
All works will be displayed at Maccagno’s Parisi Valle Museum on Lake Maggiore from March 1 to 8, 2020 and in a gallery on Facebook.
If you want to participate, too, hurry up!
The exhibition is organised by Savi Arbola and il Ponte degli Artisti - Maccagno

DE CRICO's LEONARDO and MONNA LISA - WIP

De Crico's Leonardo and Monna Lisa (work in progress)
Pen and acrylic ink and something else 30x40cm
These are 8 frames/postcards for a mail art event organised for the foundation of Leonardo da Vinci's Museum in Maccagno (Lake Maggiore).
Artists are invited to create images inspired to the Great Renaissance master and his famous model. Not everyone knows that the painting became famous only after its theft in 1911, when two Italians stole it from Louvre and brought it back to Italy in Val Veddasca, near Maccagno. Some say the original painting was never returned and the one we can see today is just one copy. Whatever the story, Jodie Foster is directing a movie about this intriguing story and next week Mr. Silvano Vinceti, one of the world most renown experts on Leonardo's art, will talk about this and much more at civico Museo Parisi Valle. THe event has been created by my friend @savi_arbo Arbola: https://www.exibart.com/evento-arte/silvano-vinceti-il-segreto-della-gioconda-presentazione-del-libro/?fbclid=IwAR06luHOrnUbS8_uz0-VZgQpXxZhGWjYuB15Z6WGy7izrvHwF_2aqEUMmm4
De Crico is a little known artist whose artwork has all been lost in unbelievable circumstances, an Italian John Banvard, whose story I like to tell through some works inspired by traces I have found of his own.

HAPPY YEAR of the MOUSE ANIMATION

A small animated greeting created starting from an animated GIF, disassembled and rebuilt with proper software. New Year is the moment to start somenthing new and creating simple animations has always been one of my passions. Hopefully I'll be able to create a few this year, starting with this one.
Music made with a digital Gu-zheng.

So much to learn, so much to do!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
