25 APRILE a MILANO - LIBERATION DAY

Mentre ieri si celebrava il 25 aprile, giorno della liberazione dal nazi-fascismo, Milano comunque e' ancora in bilico e rimane chiusa per questa minaccia invisibile. Si nota pero' che le sbarre della gabbia che ci sta opprimendo si stanno assottigliando e la loro ombra alleggerendo di giorno in giorno.


While yesterday we were celebrating April 25, Liberation Day from Nazi-fascism, Milan is still in the balance and remains closed for Covid-19's invisible threat. 
Nevertheless we can see that the bars of the cage that's oppressing us are thinning and their shadow lightening day by day.

WHEN MILANO STOOD STILL

When the outbreak struck and containment measures were strictly adopted, some cruisers, including the Naviglio Princess, got caught in the lockdown with their heavy load of thousands of merry passengers. In order to keep the party going and entertain the unwilling prisoners, the ship has to keep her boilers on, spewing noxious fumes in the now crystal clear air.
The populace is now asking the regional government and city council to take bold steps to stop this environmental disaster. 
Scientists say that fine particles greatly increase the risk to get infected by Covid-19.

No smoking!
No Diesel!
No Great ships in Darsena (Milan harbour)!
More bikes on the streets!

COVID-19 - MILANO's LOCKDOWN - DUOMO

The City of Milan is in a lockdown except for all necessary services. Therefore also all our religious stations have been closed with their activities suspended until futher notice.
Nature has taken this chance to do what it's supposed to do: reclaim what's been taken away.
When all this crisis will be over there's so much rethinking to be done about our society and economy. Luckily there are many brilliant proposals being made online these days, in spite of all those whose main activity is trolling destructively against anybody. Let's be positive and think about what we can do to help one another to change the structure of the whole system which, no need to say, is corrupted to the bone (Go Fridays for Future, go!).

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by ads? 
Their pervasive presence online allows us to enjoy free access to an immense amount of contents, but the the price we have to pay is their annoying insistence. A few years ago I painted this image and wrote the following story, inspired to one of those marble plates we find around our cities, reminding us of memorable yet forgotten events that took place sometime in history.
