The
Black-faced Spoonbill really knows what a healthy life is: good, natural food,
a nice environment to dwell and raise the little ones and, when temperatures
decrease for Winter, some time off to a tropical resort such as the Chiku Wetland in
southwestern Taiwan. Not bad I think, not bad at all.
It happened that by a
chance of destiny, the little bird was found to be in that place right when
they saw it. It was a matter of dispute for many years why that event happened.
Books were written on the subject, scholars speculated about the consequences; movies
were directed and awarded, too.
When they finally had a
chance to ask the bird itself about that, the answer left everyone puzzled.
This is a small studio for a yet-to-come larger painting. Sometimes youjust need to stopandtake stock of thesituation, and occasionally
change sceneryor at leastyour dress. Isn't it so?

My second attempt with sculpture. This one is made with bronze, cypress wood and blown glass from Murano (Venice). Rrubie is a Taiwanese Red
Oriole, a remarkable fowl keen on staring at people and making
arbitrary assumprtions. To see one is a real pleasure, if there are two of them it's a very lucky day indeed. This piece is on display at Openbox Art Gallery, Taichung - Taiwan
