Even though most of his speculative work has been lost, what has been saved is so creatively inspiring that I would warmly suggest to include it in elementary school education. Leonardo through all his life, asked questions and tried to answer them. His personal experimental method was a precursor to Galileo's.
This is an illustration I made for the book 'My name is Leonardo', published by Grimm Press. It depicts an hypothetical mechanical field kitchen, one of those that would come handy during Summertime festivals.
