REFLECTIONS ON ART

How comes that many artists, including Leonardo Da Vinci, left so many unfinished works? How comes that many others feel that every single project they've been working on has such an unfinished look to it? Why do they always feel there's something missing?
When is a piece of art actually finished?
Uncertainty seems to be part of the whole process, and that makes one ask "What if?". Should we call it "Whatiffy Art"? Should we start a movement or just pretend to do so?
Asking questions is important, I know, but offering solutions is also an opportunity to reflect on the subject matter, to the very purpose of one's work.
I don't have many answers, but I know that humanity goes on anyway.
